1+ Billion Dollar Budget

Bottom line we are spending way too much money at Hamilton County and the majority of the elected talk in circles about how to change the status quo. The more transparent the spending is to the public the easier it becomes to address where to cut and the harder it is for bad actors to politicize the decision to cut spending. There is no reason to think there is not a minimum of 10% of total waste; not fraud and abuse, just waste in our current budget of $1,095,678,025 in Fiscal Year 2026.

Enough is Enough

I am going through the 775 page budget for Hamilton County. I will expand on this as I talk with more people and do Open Records Requests to learn more about EVERY DOLLAR spent and the return on investment. This is where the rubber meets the road in our country, modern culture and policies tell us that you want to feel better or be better, spend money. Buy the fancy thing and your problems go away. I do not agree, government is supposed to keep us safe from surging crime, manage the the basic utilities, and have safety nets of society that help people get back on their feet not forever handouts.

This is not an easy task and I am running for County Commissioner so my legislative power will be limited, but the mandate I am calling for can be echoed by you the voter. Every voter in District 2 or across Hamilton County, Tennessee can demand this transparency I call on the Mayor, County Commissioners.
